Promoguy's April 2024 Results

It was another strong month as 2024 continues to go very smoothly. Twitter finished up almost $1200 ($1,178). This is tracking the minimum max and minimum boost people get (for like mystery boosts) on only widely available promos on Draftkings, Fanduel, and Caesars. Draftkings led the way for the 3rd time in 4 months finishing up $745 followed by Caesars (+$301) and Fanduel (+$145). It brings us to just over $4k for 2024 (average of $1k per month). The discord had its best month of the year as well. I will get into both below. 

Twitter Takeaways:

  1. Higher EV plays at lower maxes is working - while many are fortunate to have higher maxes on the promos on various books we track at the minimum max which is often $10 (you can see many -10s on the spreadsheet). Some also get $50 boost maxes on fanduel vs the $20 we track at. Well despite many fears of this making things work the added volume has more than made up for it. We are on pace to beat 2022 and 2023 total profits (caveat that June/July/August are quieter except we have the olympics this Summer) and variance has been relatively low with higher EV % and higher quantity.
  1. Free bets were on fire - we made $892 on free bets on twitter this month between fanduel draftkings and Caesars. Most of this came from DK with all of their promos that return free bets (sgp insurance, threesday, no sweat promos, dinger Sundays). 
  1. I went extra conservative on threesday - you may notice threesday isnt in the spreadsheet or counting. That is because it finished up on the month (thanks PJ washington). I felt with so many options it was unfair to some to have it up so i just removed it completely (even though plenty of replacements hit last month and i tracked it at 0-6 -$300). This may have been over the top conservative but I always want people to feel the tracking is done as conservative as i can make it (although i dont usually literally point shave it like this). 

DISCORD Results/takeaways:

In January (2024) i started tracking the discord’s PNL for 3 of the major books that are not covered on twitter. ESPN, BetMGM, and Betrivers. In an effort to save time I just use a flat 1u system for these books. It was our strongest combined month yet. 

ESPN: +38.6 units (+39.8% ROI), +65.55 units YTD

ESPN is the one that I was the most happy with this month. While some promos have only $10 maxes some are a decent amount higher. They gave us a ton of free bets this month and we cashed them in. A $10 bettor would be up $386 on the month.

MGM: +38.13 units (+61.5% ROI), +121.66 units YTD

MGM’s units (not ROI) are always a bit inflated because even those that get promos dont get all of them and I make plays for all of them meaning we sneak in some extra plays. 

Betrivers: +35.12 units (+92% ROI), +111.46 units YTD

Betrivers has been really great - it's too bad so many are promo banned. It is the highest ROI book and probably the highest unit ones too when accounting for MGM’s inflated numbers above. 

Bet365 (ROIGUY): +$119.7 (+5.14% ROI) on a $50 unit size

Overall these had their best combined units month (+111.85u) and for all 4 months we have had each individual as profitable. Between discord promos, the higher level Officials success, and a strong month on twitter, it was a great April for us.
