PromoGuy’s Positive EV Sportsbook Rankings – July 2025 Edition
It’s been a strong summer for positive EV betting — with several sportsbooks stepping up their promos, and a few quietly scaling back. If you’re looking to maximize positive expected value (EV+) from free bets, odds boosts, and no-sweat promos, here’s how the major books stack up this month.
1. DraftKings – Still the King
DraftKings continues to hold the top spot, thanks to the sheer volume and quality of their promos. Whether it’s mystery golf boosts, MLB parlay boosts, WNBA boosts, Big Papi HR specials, or King of the Diamond, the opportunities for solid EV plays are consistent and valuable. They also offer occasional flash boosts, with Ohtani coming through for us recently for a +300 home run
• Weekly regulars: daily MLB parlay boosts, daily WNBA boosts, MLB no-sweats
• Extras: Stepped-up SGPs on Saturdays, Big Papi HR boosts on Sundays, UFC boosts on Saturdays, centennial club for targeted accounts
• Best promo: Flash boosts (thank Ohtani!) & Happy Hour boosts
If you’re only using one book for promos, DK is still your best bet.
2. FanDuel – Back in Form?
FanDuel makes a surprising climb this month, mostly off the back of a nostalgic-style Home Run Derby promo where Cal Raleigh both won the derby winning us $75 and also delivering $54 in free bets! That one promo alone brought back memories of peak FanDuel EV days. Let’s hope it continues!
• Weekly regulars: MLB & WNBA 30%+ profit boosts, Weekend Boost Builders
• Best promo: HR Derby Free Bet promo — more of this, please.
FanDuel might be trending up again — worth watching as football season approaches.
3. BetMGM – High Maxes, Steady Value
MGM holds strong as a high-EV option thanks to daily boost tokens in the 10–50% range withrelatively high max limits compared to competitors. They’ve historically been quick to limit players, but that appears to be tapering off as of late.
• Weekly regulars: daily boost tokens, no sweat tokens
• Best promo: No sweat token
A solid third option if your account stays clean.
4. Bet365 – Still Boosting, But Losing Steam
Bet365 has been consistent in terms of no-sweats and 30% boosts, but we’ve seen a sharp uptick in user limitations lately. Increased restrictions, especially on those betting +EV, have knocked them down a few spots.
• Weekly regulars: 30% profit boosts for MLB and WNBA, “Safety net” bets
• Best promo: 50% super profit boosts
I’m hoping they ease up on limiting accounts before NFL season or they risk losing more ground.
5. Caesars – Trying to Stay in the Game
Caesars is tossing out boosts lately — 25% to 100%, though many cap at a $10 max bet. They’re not a power player right now, but worth checking for value.
• Weekly regulars: 50% parlay profit boosts, 30% MLB parlay boosts, 30% golf profit boosts
• Best promo: 50% parlay boosts
Small bet sizes = small wins, but better than nothing. Let’s hope for more consistency and higher maxes with the upcoming NFL season
6. ESPN Bet – Falling Off Fast
It wasn’t long ago that ESPN Bet looked like a strong up-and-comer. Now? Promos have all but vanished, and the ones that remain rarely offer meaningful value.
• Weekly regulars: There’s not much “regular” about ESPN promos these days, but First Goalscorer Insurance and the occasional boosts still have decent maxes and good boost percentages
• Best promo: Home Run Party (bet $25 on a HR, get $5 in free bets for each HR hit in the game)
For now, ESPN Bet is mostly a pass. Let’s see if they make a push with the upcoming football season
Final Thoughts
With NFL, college football, and postseason baseball right around the corner, we’ll be watching how these books respond. Expect some major promos coming up in August & September — especially if new user marketing ramps up.
